This conference will
focus on rehabilitation of many common and challenging shoulder pathologies and
surgical procedures. Emphasis will
be placed on the keys to clinical decision-making, as well as the “why” behind the
rehabilitation.
Practical anatomy, and video demonstrations of surgical procedures will also be
included. This conference is designed for physical and occupational therapists,
their assistants and athletic trainers.
Objectives:
- Have a general knowledge of selected surgical procedures of the shoulder and recognize their affect on rehabilitation
- Skillfully apply appropriate rehabilitation guidelines for patients after common shoulder surgical procedures
- Discuss the anatomy of the shoulder
- Obtain knowledge on the management of stiff shoulders, both idiopathic and post-surgical
